User

The User type allows selecting a user on the form in Web Application.
In Web Application, a User field looks as shown in Fig. 1, which features an editing form of a property.

In Web Application, a User field looks as shown in Fig. 2, which features a view form of a property. When you click on a user name on the view form in Web Application, the user profile dialog box opens.

User type settings in ELMA Designer

When you select User in the Type * field, additional fields appear on the Common and Advanced tabs apart from the basic fields.

Fig. 3 shows the additional fields that appear if the User type is selected on the Advanced tab.

Selecting users – if you check the box Limit User Selection List, the list of users available for selecting in Web Application will be limited by the user groups and/or job positions, specified on the user selection form, and by a context variable (fig. 4).

Locked users (fig. 3, at the top) – if this box is checked, it will be possible to select locked users in Web Application. By default, it is unchecked.
Handlers (fig. 3, at the bottom) – possibility to add a script for this property, which will be executed upon a certain event in the system, e.g. when creating or changing an object. When you click Add handler, the Adding property handler dialog box opens (fig. 5).

Author – when creating an object in Web Application, this field will be automatically filled in with the object author.
Last Modified by – when creating an object in Web Application, this field will be automatically filled in with the author of the last changes in the object.
