Activities

An Activity represents the work performed within a business process. In the process model, activities are placed inside swimlanes. Do not place activities outside or on the boundary of swimlanes.
ELMA BPM offers the following basic activities in accordance with the BPMN notation:
Activities are located on the side panel of the Graphic Model tab. To add an activity to the graphic model you can either drag it from the side panel or click on the flow objects, which you have already placed on the modeling sheet. In the graphic model an activity is represented with a rounded rectangle. To make process model more readable each activity has its own color and icon in its upper left corner.
A sub-process is another activity type. A sub-process shares the same shape as a task object, which is a rectangle with rounded corners; above the lower edge of the rectangle you can see a + symbol.
Each activity has its own attributes and settings. To open a settings window double-click on the activity in the graphic model or select the respective item in the activity context menu.
