Sub-Project Plan

A sub-project is a project plan task, which includes sub-tasks of any type. A sub-project has its own plan, which cannot go beyond the sub-project deadlines. Note, that you can create sub-projects in sub-projects.

Sub-project plan – is a schedule of tasks in the sub-project. Working with a sub-project plan is similar to working with a regular project plan.
There are two ways to open a sub-project plan page (fig. 3):

A sub-project is completed once all of its tasks have been completed. The sub-project completion rate is calculated automatically, based on the completion rate of all the sub-project plan tasks.
If the sub-project tasks go beyond the sub-project deadlines, a corresponding notification will be displayed (fig. 4).

You will not be able to edit this plan until you reschedule the tasks. Otherwise, you will see the following notifications:
1. If you click Send for Approval, the changes will be saved and you will see an additional dialog box (fig. 5).

2. If you click Save Changes, and additional warning will appear (fig. 6).

Click Continue to save all the changes. Click Cancel to continue editing the sub-project plan.
After editing the sub-project plan, send it for approval. The approver will receive a task, similar to a project plan approval task. It also contains an additional field with a link to this sub-project. Once the plan has been approved, you can publish it.
