Scheduling

Scheduling is the process of developing the project plan. The main goal of scheduling is to create an accurate project plan taking into account planned and forecast due dates and duration of tasks, and evaluate expected working time spent.

In ELMA, tasks and milestones in the project plan have several due dates:

Planned – date, which is specified when creating tasks and milestones in the project plan;
Actual – date of actual completion of a task or milestone. It is specified automatically upon task completion (not specified for active tasks);
Forecast – expected due date of a task or milestone. Specified by the task executor or the project manager.

ELMA provide the following forecasting features:

request expected task due dates;
request expected time spent.

On the project plan page you can request expected due dates and expected time report on project tasks (if the project plan version has the Draft, Current or Pending Approval status). To do so, click Actions – Request the expected due date/Request the expected time report (fig. 1).

Note, that this feature is not available for completed and stage tasks, as well as the business process start tasks.
