General Project Tasks Settings:
Show to executors all tasks that will start in ... (days) – the number of days before the tasks start date, in which the executors will see the tasks. If you select "0" all the tasks will be displayed on their start date.
Assign linked tasks:
For example:
1. In the project type settings, you have set 2 days for the parameter Show to executors all tasks that will start in ... (days). In this example we do not take into account weekends and holidays.
2. In the project plan, there is a Task A  which must be completed within the period from 01.02.17 – 05.02.17. The Task  A is linked to the Task B, which must be performed form 06.02.17 to 10.02.
3. Consider that the Task A  is completed 02.02.17 (before its due date).
Given all the above conditions, the Task B will be assigned to a user depending on the setting "Assign linked tasks". If you select
By actual due dates :
The Task B will be assigned to a user 03.02.2018, regardless of whether Task A was completed. In this case, the actual Task A deadline will not be taken into account, only the value set in the field Show to executors all tasks that will start in ... (days) will be taken into account.
Take into account links between tasks:
The Task B will be assigned to a user 03.02.2018, only after the Task A is complete. In this case, the actual task completion date and the value set in the field Show to executors all tasks that will start in ... (days) will be taken into account..
Premature start
The Task B will be assigned to a user 02.02.17 (immediately after the Task A is completed). Other settings are not taken into account.
Do not show tasks in the calendar:
You can implement custom settings for the selected project, that will ignore general project type settings. To learn more about it, read here.
Take human resources into account – automatically calculate expected time report and task due date in the project plan:
Expected time report task due dates are calculated in the following scenarios:
Note that the due dates of linked tasks are also recalculated automatically, depending on the task start and due dates.
Formula for calculating expected time report and task due dates
The dependency between the task duration and expected time report is based on this setting. This dependency makes it possible to automatically calculate the task due date and expected time report. The following formula is used for calculation:
ET = TD * DT, where
Example of calculating expected time report:
The task starts on 01.02.2018 and ends on 14.02.2018. Three resources are involved in it, with the workload of 25%, 50% and 100%. According to the business calendar, a business day is 8 hours.
Thus, DT = 0,25*8 + 0,5*8 + 1*8 = 2+4+8 = 14 hours.
TD is 10 business days (this period includes 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays, no holidays).
ET = 10*14 = 140 hours.
Task duration calculation example:
The task starts on 01.02.2018 and has a time report limit of 210 hours. Three resources are involved in it, with the workload of 25%, 50% and 100%. According to the business calendar, a business day is 8 hours.
Thus, DT = 0,25*8 + 0,5*8 + 1*8 = 2+4+8 = 14 hours.
TD = 210/14 = 15 business days. Tasking into account weekends and holidays, the task due date is on 21.02.2018.
Adding an executor/co-executor to a project task
Note, that the Take human resources into account setting is also used when working with a project human resources. For example, when creating a project task and adding an executor/co-executor to it, the object selection depends on this setting value:
Task Highlight Settings unit:
Specify the percent of the task time limit, after which the task will be highlighted in the project plan. You can enter the required value manually in the text box to the left of the slider and/or by dragging the slider to the right/left.
