Web Document


Web document – is a document which has an HTML-page with convenient information layout and hyper-links on its page instead of a list of attributes. Web documents ensure quick access to frequently used system commands, documents and their content. Usually, a web document contains:
Web documents have the icon in the document list. To open a web document, click on its name in the list of documents.

Toolbar buttons

Edit the web document. It is displayed if the user has permissions for editing.
Clicking Send or opens a drop-down menu that allows you to:
  • Discuss Document – send a message to users or to a public channel. Viewing the history is available on the document page.
  • Attach to Task – open the Create Task page. The current document will be attached to the task automatically. Tasks that have a document attached, will be displayed on the document page on the Tasks tab.
Configure access to the web document. This option is available only to the users with full access to this document.
Users with required access permissions can add any web document to Favorites for quick access. Click on the icon to the right of the document name:
– add the current document to Favorites. After the document is added to Favorites the button changes to .
– remove the document from Favorites. After the document is moved from Favorites this button changes to .
A user can subscribe to a particular web document so that they can stay informed on the changes . For more information about subscription, see the respective Help section.
Clicking Detailed information expands the Detailed information unit (Fig. 2) with information on this document.

If you want to work with the document in the expanded view mode click Use Expanded View. In this case the web document display mode will be the same as the page of a standard document (Fig. 3).

Click Actions – Export Content to download a .docx file.
Click Simple view to go back to the simple web document page (Fig. 2).

Editing a web document

Click the Edit button to edit a web document. On the opened page make all the necessary changes and click Save. The page for editing a web document is similar to the document creation page.
