Editing a Process Instance

During the execution of a process instance, the values of its parameters are changing. A process should be designed so that all the necessary changes were made within the business process activities. But in reality, it does not always work that way. There is always a chance that data is entered incorrectly. But the process does not allow a user to return to a previous step to edit the data. In that case you can edit incorrect data in the instance editing mode.
To edit process instance data, open the process instance page and click the Edit button in the toolbar (Fig. 1).
Instance data can be changed by the instance owner, initiator or the users with appropriate permissions. These permissions can be assigned on the access to processes page in the Edit Process Context section.

If you click the Edit button, all the context variables of the process instance will be displayed in the editing mode (Fig. 2):

After the necessary changes are made, click Save in the toolbar. Click Cancel if you do not need to make any changes.
