Report

Report – is systematized data for analyzing user or company activity.

There are system and user reports in ELMA. The system administrator creates user reports in ELMA Designer.

System reports – are designed and configured by ELMA developers. You cannot delete or edit these reports. You can edit a system report after copying it, i.e. when it becomes a user report.

In ELMA, system reports are not available in the Enterprise edition working on Oracle.

User reports – are configured and adjusted to user or company requirements in ELMA Designer. You can edit or delete these reports.

Parent report – is a report that contains one or several sub-reports.

The list of ELMA reports is on the Reports tab in ELMA Designer (fig. 1).

Reports display scheme

1. The (3.1) mark to the right of the report name means that the report is based on the logic of ELMA 3.1. This Help section describes only this logic. The description may not be applied to other versions.

2. Report names have the following graphic and color markers:

system reports have a bold, blue font;
user reports have a regular, black font;
new (not published) reports have a regular font;
published reports have a bold font.

3. You can group reports by certain criteria. To do so, click Create Group in the context menu and enter the report group name in the opened dialog box (fig. 2).

If you delete a group, you will not be able to restore it. When deleting a group that contains reports, you will see the following notification:

It has three buttons:

Yes – the reports will be moved to the Common Reports group and the group will be deleted.
No – the reports will be moved to Recycle Bin and the group will be deleted. When restored from Recycle Bin, the reports will be moved to the Common Reports group.

Cancel – the group will not be deleted.

4. These are the report statuses:

Draft – new, saved report, which has not been published.
Published – saved and published report. The published report and its changes are displayed in Web Application and available to the users. If you have published the report at least ones, it will always have the "Published" status.

5. To access the published reports, users must have the respective access permissions.

Editing a report

You can edit a report on the report page. There are several ways to open it:

double click the name of the required report;
select the required report and click Edit in the toolbar of the Reports tab;
select the required report and click Edit in the context menu.

The reports in Recycle Bin are not available for editing. When you open the report page, the toolbar buttons will be unavailable. To work with this report you need to restore it.

Deleting a report

You can delete only user reports. There are two ways to delete a user report:

select the required report and click Delete in the toolbar of the Reports tab;
select the required report and click Delete in the context menu.

Confirm deleting the report in the opened dialog box. The report will be moved to Recycle Bin and you will be able to restore it later.

When a parent report is moved to Recycle Bin, all its sub-reports are also moved there. A deleted parent report keeps the status that it had been deleted before.

Restoring a report

To restore a deleted report, open Recycle Bin in the report tree. Select the required report, right-click on its name and select Restore in the context menu. By default, the restored reports are placed in the Common Reports group with the status that they had before being deleted.

	Create a user report.
	Edit a user report.
	Delete a user report.

Report context menu

To open the context menu, click the required report with the right mouse button. You can also click the empty space of the Reports List tab to open the context menu.

The context menu contains actions, which you can apply to the selected report or the Reports tab.

Create Report – create a user report.

Create Sub-Report – create a user sub-report.

Create Group – create a report group..

Edit – edit the report (open the report page).

Rename/Move – rename the report and/or move it to another group.

Copy – copy the report.

Delete – delete the user report.

Restore – restore a deleted report.

Searching in the list of reports

You can search in the list of reports on the Reports tab of ELMA Designer. The search in this section is similar to the search in the process list.
